The vision of the National Blessings in a Backpack organization is:

Every school-aged child in America has the nourishment needed to learn and grow. As a leader in the movement to end childhood hunger, Blessings strives to ensure children don't go hungry on the weekends by empowering individuals and communities to take action.

Oconomowoc Junior Woman's Club joined this fight and works with the Oconomowoc School district to help transport food and boxes to the schools. Identified students are privately provided bags for the weekend with food for themselves and their families.
